Frequently Asked Questions

I’m new to yoga. Where should I start?

Welcome! Many of our students begin with little or no yoga experience.

Our New to Yoga, Gentle Yoga, and Gentle Hatha classes are designed to help you feel comfortable, supported, and successful from your very first visit. Your teacher will offer modifications and guidance throughout class.

You do not need to be flexible, fit, or experienced to begin.

What should I wear?

  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move and stretch easily.
  • Most students practice barefoot. You may wear socks before class and remove them once you’re on your mat.

Do I need a yoga mat?

If you have a yoga mat, please bring it.

If not, we have mats available at the studio for new students and visitors.

How much does it cost?

We offer several ways to practice, including drop-in classes, class passes, memberships, workshops, and special events.

Visit our Class Descriptions and Pricing for current rates and membership options.

Do you offer a special for new students?

Yes!

New students can enjoy 10 days of unlimited yoga for just $37.

It’s a wonderful way to explore different classes, meet our teachers, and discover what works best for you.

What if I have an injury, illness, or physical limitation?

Many students come to House of Bliss seeking gentle movement, stress relief, recovery, or support during life transitions.

Please let your teacher know about any injuries, limitations, or concerns before class. We will do our best to offer modifications and help you practice safely.

As always, consult your healthcare provider regarding any medical conditions.

What types of classes do you offer?

We offer a variety of classes to support different needs and experience levels, including:

• New to Yoga
• Gentle Yoga
• Gentle Hatha
• Yin Yoga
• Gentle Vinyasa
• Slow Flow
• Community Classes

We also offer workshops, sound baths, women’s gatherings, somatic embodiment experiences, and private sessions throughout the year.

Can I attend if I’m not flexible?

Absolutely.

Flexibility is not a requirement for yoga—it’s often a result of practicing yoga. Our classes are designed to meet you where you are today.

Do you offer prenatal yoga?

While we do not currently offer dedicated prenatal classes, many of our gentle classes may be appropriate during pregnancy.

Please consult your healthcare provider and let your teacher know before class so we can help support your practice.

Do you offer hot yoga?

No. House of Bliss Yoga is not a heated studio.

Can teenagers attend classes?

Teens are welcome to attend many of our classes with parent or guardian approval.

If you have questions about whether a particular class is appropriate, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
