Teacher Training

Deepen your relationship with yoga, embodiment, and yourself through our immersive 200-Hour Yoga & Somatic Teacher Training at House of Bliss Yoga. Rooted in yoga, somatics, mindfulness, Ayurveda, and authentic community, this transformational journey is designed for both aspiring teachers and students seeking a deeper connection to body, breath, and purpose.

Come Home to Yourself

Most people who begin yoga teacher training are not actually seeking a certification — they are seeking transformation.

They are longing to feel more connected to themselves. More grounded in their bodies. More present in their lives. They are searching for healing, clarity, purpose, community, and a deeper way of living.

That is the heart of our 200-Hour Yoga & Somatic Teacher Training at House of Bliss Yoga.

This immersive experience is designed to support physical, emotional, and spiritual growth through the practices of yoga, somatics, mindfulness, Ayurveda, meditation, embodiment, and authentic community connection. Along the way, many students discover not only a deeper relationship with themselves — but also a genuine passion for guiding and supporting others.

During this journey, you will:

  • Deepen your personal yoga and embodiment practice
  • Learn tools to support nervous system regulation and emotional wellbeing
  • Study the philosophies and practices of yoga and Ayurveda in a grounded, modern way
  • Cultivate confidence, presence, and authentic voice
  • Build meaningful connections and lasting friendships
  • Learn to teach from lived experience rather than performance
  • Develop the skills to guide others with compassion, clarity, and integrity

This training is not about becoming someone else.
It is about becoming more fully yourself.

“I originally signed up because I wanted to deepen my practice, but the training became so much more than that. It helped me reconnect with myself in a way I didn’t even realize I needed. I feel more grounded, more confident, more present in my life — and I left with an incredible community of people I now consider close friends. Teaching yoga was never part of my plan, but by the end of the program I felt genuinely inspired and empowered to share this work with others.”

— Rachel M.

“This is yoga for real life — grounded, inclusive, and deeply healing. I never felt like I had to perform or be someone I wasn’t. The training helped me feel more at home in my body, more connected to myself, and more supported than I had in years.”

~ Lauren K.

What Will You Learn?

To teach grounded, accessible Hatha yoga for real people living real lives. If you can confidently support beginners, you can support anyone. This training creates compassionate, adaptable teachers with a strong foundation for teaching many styles of yoga.

To hold meaningful space. This is not simply about learning poses — it is about guiding others into deeper connection through movement, breath, presence, nervous system awareness, and authentic community.

Meditation, breathwork, somatics, and mindfulness. You will learn practical tools to support emotional wellbeing, grounding, stress reduction, embodiment, and self-awareness — both for yourself and those you guide.Ayurveda including elemental theory, doshas, daily rhythms, food as medicine, nervous system balance, seasonal living, and holistic wellness practices. You will leave with practical tools to help yourself and others cultivate a more balanced and intentional life.

One of the most meaningful things we can do is help others reconnect to themselves. Through authentic teaching, presence, and compassionate guidance, we create spaces where real transformation can happen.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I need to miss a training day?

Because this training is deeply experiential and community-centered, attendance is important. Students may miss up to 15% of the program hours and still receive certification. Limited make-up options may be available through approved assignments, workshops, or supplemental study if needed. Participation in the retreat weekend is required for program completion.

Are there any additional costs?

We’ve designed the program to include as much as possible within tuition. Additional expenses may include:

  • Required reading materials
  • Transportation to and from the retreat location
  • Optional workshops or events outside the core curriculum

Retreat lodging, meals, and programming are included unless otherwise noted.

What if I need to leave the program?

Because training spaces are limited and reserved in advance, tuition and deposits are non-refundable. If unexpected life circumstances arise, students may have the option to continue with a future training cohort at a reduced continuation rate. The initial deposit is non-refundable and secures your place in the program.

Are payment plans available?

Yes. Students may choose to:

  • Pay in full
  • Utilize a monthly payment plan
  • Take advantage of early enrollment pricing when available

Our intention is to make the training as accessible as possible while honoring the depth and value of the experience.

What if I don’t want to teach yoga?

That’s completely okay.

Many students join this training for personal growth, healing, self-discovery, nervous system support, spiritual exploration, or to deepen their relationship with yoga and embodiment practices.

Some graduates go on to teach professionally. Others integrate what they learn into parenting, healthcare, leadership, coaching, creative work, or everyday life.

This training is just as much about personal transformation as it is about learning to teach.

What is the retreat weekend?

The retreat weekend is an immersive part of the training experience designed to help students step away from everyday distractions and deepen into practice, learning, rest, reflection, and community connection.

Together we will practice yoga and meditation, share meals, engage in workshops and group discussion, spend time in nature, and create meaningful space for integration and self-study.

For many students, the retreat becomes one of the most transformational and memorable parts of the entire journey.

Will there be work outside of training weekends?

Yes — though much of the work is experiential rather than academic.

Students will be encouraged to establish a personal practice that may include yoga, meditation, journaling, self-reflection, observation, practice teaching, and assigned reading. Students will also complete practice teaching and class observation hours outside of scheduled training weekends.

The intention is integration and embodiment — not overwhelm.

What if I’m primarily interested in yoga and less interested in Ayurveda or somatics?

The training is intentionally designed as an integrated experience. Yoga, somatics, nervous system awareness, meditation, embodiment, philosophy, and Ayurveda are woven together throughout the curriculum to support a more holistic understanding of wellbeing and practice.

You are not expected to become an Ayurvedic practitioner or somatic therapist. Instead, you will leave with practical tools and a deeper understanding of how to support yourself and others in a more balanced, connected, and sustainable way.

Is this training Yoga Alliance registered?

This training is independently offered through House of Bliss Yoga and is not currently a Yoga Alliance registered school.

Our curriculum mirrors the depth and structure of many traditional 200-hour yoga teacher trainings while offering a more integrative and embodiment-centered approach that includes somatics, nervous system awareness, mindfulness, Ayurveda, meditation, and holistic wellness practices.

Graduates will receive a 200-hour certificate of completion through House of Bliss Yoga upon successful completion of the program.

Let’s Connect

We’ll be spending many months growing, learning, and practicing together, so it’s important to me that this feels like the right fit for you. While I’ll be hosting informational gatherings and open houses throughout the year, I also love connecting more personally — whether that’s over tea, after class, or through a simple conversation. If you’re feeling curious about the training, I’d love to meet you, hear your story, and answer any questions you may have.
