It’s 6 am in Telluride, Colorado and I have awoken in the most gorgeous house in the most beautiful place I have ever been in. I’ve arrived to the Telluride Yoga Festival early with my family to settle things in and prepare for my presentations before the rest of our group of 20 arrives.
A yoga retreat and a 120 day cleanse ought to go hand n hand. Beautiful weather, lots of fresh air, outdoor activities, love of a family, and of course yoga yoga yoga. Of course this morning I work up and ran into on small problem….and that’s Miele.
Miele is a build in espresso, cappuchino, frappa lappa and whatever ya wanna do with coffee machine valued at almost $3,000. She’s gorgeous. She is the first thing that I saw when I walked into this gourmet kitchen. I’ve put the kettle on for a cup of tea, but my eyes are all over her.
The little devil inside of me is saying…you are on vacation…it’s not a big deal. It’s not like you are going to eat and elk or something. It’s just an innocent cup of happy frappy mocha lovey dovey. I mean, seriously, you are not NOT going to learn how to use that machine. I look to my right…the instruction manual is already sitting next me.
This is when I take a deep breath in and a deep breath out. The copper tea kettle that sounds like a gentle and sweet train’s whistle begins to blow. I look that devil square in the eye and say…”ok…let’s do this!!!” Oh Miele I’m in love.
