- First, someone asked me about identifying habits & dealing with triggers. Here is a nice process: What’s Holding You Back
Choice Making, Notice the Triggers
- Second, here is a fun spiritual exploration I am doing this week to identify the conflicts in my insides and outsides. Pamela Quinn Astrological Chart
My spiritual focus this week has been Satya. Satya is truth. I find truth to be a very esoteric topic. I mean your truth is your own, right? I don’t think I’ve ever understood truth. Of course I know when I am telling a lie to another, but I don’t always know when I’m telling a lie to myself.
What is truth? Simply put by Amrit Desai, truth is when your insides and outsides match. There is no duality in your nature. You are authentic, real, and genuine. You are committed, trustworthy, and reliable. Others can trust that you are who you are.
This got me to thinking about astrology. Your sun sign is who you are. I’m a Pisces. Your ascendant is how people see you. I’m an Aquarius rising. (You probably know your sun sign. If you don’t know your ascendent, click here to calculate.)
Now make a list of qualities and note the similarities and extremes. I used the book, “A Spiritual Approach to Astrology” by Myrna Lofthus, but you can just google the signs.
Pisces (who I am) /AQUARIUS (what you see)

Now simply step back and ask yourself, how am I showing up for others and how is that contributing to my maya or my illusion of myself. Where the conflicts are is the suffering. (I put a “*” next to my conflicts. For example, I appear well studied, stubborn, and love a good debate. Most people, unless they love to discuss and debate, simply stop sharing ideas around me. The truth, however, is that I love to learn and hear what others have to say. When you tell me something intriguing I’ll usually follow up on it on my own and incorporate the knowledge even if you think I didn’t agree with you. The debate was just fun for me. AND then the truth is I will feel sad and bad if I think I made you suffer through the discussion. AND then the truth is you never know that I incorporated what you said into my life.
So now that I can see where I am in conflict, I have a focus or theme for my study of truth:
Using my natural psychic abilities and sensitivity to know how to approach and receive others to facilitate conscious communication instead of simply overpowering them with knowledge.
Have fun with this!!!
