It is 11:51 am in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 5th, 2020 and most Americans are sitting in total uncertainty with breath slightly held possibly glued to the news to see who will be our next President.  From an Astrological point of view, it really doesn’t matter.  What matters is, of the people eligible to vote, 68% did.  Of those people who came out to vote, about 1/2 voted for one nominee and 1/2 voted for another.

People make lots of assumptions about me and you would probably assume I am Liberal and a Democrat.  I am not.  I have always walked the middle path in politics and my economic leanings have always been less government and personal freedom.  I believe in a charitable society where we take care of each other on a local level.  AND that doesn’t happen in real life.  AND we’ve got some humungous issues now where wounds have been left unattended and to fester for way too long.  We are infected.  Mother Earth is infected.

  • In 1988 I voted for George Bush.  I really liked him and Dukakis didn’t seem like much of a leader to me.   (I won)
  • In 1992 I voted for Perot.  You might call that a wasted vote but I was already sick of a two party system and I thought the Gulf War was barbaric  & knew not to trust Clinton.  (I lost)
  • In 1996 I voted for Bob Dole.  I was an auditor at the time and saw first hand the financial corruption of the Clinton presidency.   (I lost)
  • In 2000, I voted for Al Gore.  My concern for the planet started to spin out by 2000.  (I lost)
  • In 2004 I voted for Kerry who I didn’t really like.  It was disdain for Dick Cheney and Middle East policy.  (I lost)
  • In 2008 I voted for Obama and I do remember feeling very hopeful at that time.  He defeated McCain who I actually adored, but couldn’t stomach Sarah.  (I won)
  • I sat 2012 out.  Obama didn’t seem to be able to get anything done and there was no way I was voting for Mitt Romney.  (I stand by my decision to not participate)
  • In 2016 I voted for Hillary who I dislike as much as her husband.  My vote for her was a vote against Trump. (I lost)
  • This year, 2020, I voted for Biden which is really a vote for Kamala.

So I’ve won 2 and lost 5.  You can see I’ve simply voted for who I thought was the best leader at the time.    What makes a good leader?

  • Communicate a vision in such a way folks believe in the vision and in you.
  • Create a positive environment where others can flourish and creating opportunities for them.
  • Make quick decisions after seeing a situation from many angles.
  • Do what you say.
  • Take responsibility for failings and giving credit to others for wins.

As we shift into the Age of Aquarius leaders will matter less.   The sign of Aquarius rules the 11th house of the Astrology wheel representing groups and communities.  There is no one individual worth following. Each person will need to become a leader of their own life and be able to work in collaboration with others as we move to a system of government looking more like a “vote” based system. By this I mean large issues will be put up for vote to the general public and not decided by our legislators.  The #1 most spectacular ability of any individual working in a group is to be able to build a CONSENSUS.  Consensus building will lead us to the best outcome for all moving forward because in building a consensus you take into consideration all viewpoints and adjust accordingly in the most beneficial way to all.

So back to where we are now…1/2 voted one way and 1/2 voted the other.  WHY?

The Planet Pluto moves forward (direct) in its journey around the sun 1/2 the year and then for the other 1/2 of the year it appears to go backwards (retrograde).  The energy of Pluto in a nutshell is a very powerful undeniable message to “transform or it will be destroyed.”  So the change you may neither want nor have planned for is coming and if you don’t get with the transformational process it is going to be destroyed in the most painful way.   We are, as a nation, sitting in this energy as the planets of Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter, and now Mars have brought in the karmic reckoning of a nation built upon genocide and stealing.  I know.  I hate that too.

(For the Astrology geeks Pluto says to transform.  Saturn is the structure of government, economy, and religion.  Jupiter is quite a spiritual planet which makes things larger than life.  Mars is the desire nature and of course, war.)

We, as individuals, have all been born with Pluto either direct or retrograde.  (forward or backward).  Those with Pluto direct like the way things are.  Those with Pluto retrograde enjoy the shake up.  My Pluto is retrograde so I’m a change maker.  I like the shake up.  I’m ready to transform and move forward.  I know lots of folks, however, who are in great fear of the status or quality of their life being impacted by changes in leadership.  How do you build consensus between the two?

Do we need mass protest and violence?

Well, we might.  The two 1/2s are not going to come together without a cataclysmic event.  Mother Earth is grumbling, but even having her hurl fires, floods, and hurricanes at us has not been enough to yoke us.  The decimation of our forests, our wildlife and our water supply is not enough to yoke us.  I was counting on climate change to bring us together and it simply isn’t.  Unless Yosemite actually blows or California actually falls into the ocean, I don’t think we will come together.  So the earthquake will have to come from us.  If we witness us turning on us, maybe we will be horrified (destroyed) and we will transform.

I’m not advocating violence.  I’m advocating you wake up before violence is necessary.  I’m advocating a deep inner contemplation of your own belief system.  I’m advocating you stop thinking so much about your self and what is yours.  I’m advocating you give your voice and good fortune to others with little voice and no fortune.  I’m advocating you reach across the isle and forgive what you perceive understanding you can’t see.  I’m advocating we understand Mother Earth has been voting for a very very long time now and it is time for us to come together in consensus and let her lead us.

Peace,  Pamela
