The message I keep receiving from all sources is one of fatigue, anxiety and depression. I totally understand. I reflected this morning on the two year anniversary of opening the Mason Sanctuary and I truly can’t believe how much has changed. I couldn’t have imagine the Montgomery Studio would now be rented, the Mount Lookout studio would never get off its feet, or the loss of so many students and teachers. My disappointment and grief are mostly behind me and I’m happy to say so is my anger. I’m lucky to have access to great yogi skills and mentors and I feel I’m out of the woods. It’s nice to have the studio to work around in. The renovations are nearly complete with a few snafus here and there, but having something to look forward to helps a lot.
Tomorrow’s election looms large. I know it has been stressful on everyone. I keep watching the new and full moons which have been so powerful these last few months and I think to myself….this is it!!! this is the break through moment!! this is when it all gets better……but it doesn’t. It seems to just get worse. Tomorrow will be no different. Most likely we won’t really know any results. Mercury stations to turn direct tomorrow on election day. The last time this happened we had the “hanging chad” incident. There will be anger. I hope it doesn’t get too crazy and that depends on the individual. Astrologically, we may have violence up to November 20th. December 21 marks a big change and we will have a celebration to bring in solstice and the shift to Aquarian energy. It is promised by mid January, things will feel much lighter.
Most astrologers are not taking a hard line on who will win the election. I’ve heard many say whoever wins will not complete their term and they will also wish they had not won. Pluto returns to our nation at the point it started in 1776 and Pluto instructs to transform or destroy. So, that’s what we are witnessing. It’s time to embrace Aquarian principles which are humanitarian and new age principles.
What’s a yogi to do if all hell breaks loose? Well, you chose this path and I’m hoping you abide by the founding principle of Ahimsa or non violence. Even if you are not into yoga, but into the metaphysical, the foundation is Goodwill. Maybe we can all wake up tomorrow and just intend to be a good listener for others, to hold space and to bring some levity to our current collective situation. If you are called you will go just like Arjuna was called in the Bhagavad Gita.
I would like to help you get through this time. I keep getting emails and calls from former students truly upset and wanting to get back to their mat for their mental health. The problem is you need to unroll your mat. I wish I could come to your house and get it out of your trunk and roll it out for you, but I can’t. I’m here for you. Kathleen, Jody, Chris, Sonya, Jeannie, Bella, Larry, Angi, Yenny and Shelly. We are all here for you. Peace, Pamela
