This week it seems I just have too much on my plate.  My schedule is tight and I simply can’t accommodate for all the unplanned things that life has in store for me.  You know the drill…son needs a haircut, daughter needs lacrosse equipment, friend is having a crisis, etc.

 

All of this is a normal part of life but  when it hits a busy work week you may become aggravated, impatient, and anxious.  This can cause sleepless nights, poor communication, mistakes, forgetfulness, and even constipation as the body gets in on the act.

What can you do? First and foremost is to continue to prioritize your meditation practice.  It saves you in times of extreme stress and do much to counter the effects of a busy mind.  Second, stick to your routine of going to bed around 10 pm and getting up with the sun.  Third, stick to your routine of eating three meals each day around the same time each day of warm, cooked, and healthy foods.(link to nice routine)
