OM Work

Tune in with the Adi Mantra:

Warm up:

  • Warm up with spinal flexes or sun salutations

Pranayama:

The breathing modality to use in your moments of intense craving is left nostril breathing.  It’s number 1 on the pdf attached below.  Simply block the right nostril and breathe through the left for 3  – however long it takes for the craving to pass.  The left nostril is feeding the right side of the brain which stills the critical mind and balances you into the neutral mind where you can make good choices.  Do notice the trigger and jot it down in your journal before you begin this pranayama.  Afterwards, notice how you feel.

Kriya:

I chose this Kriya because it works on the pituitary gland, the brain, is sweet, and calms the Aries energy that is prevalent this month.  It is called “To Become Intuitive.”  While is does work to create intuition, it counteracts frustration and depression.  If you are suffering from a deep seated habit or addiction, it would be natural that a low grade or deep depression called “cold depression” has developed.  Cold depression feels like the world is going on.  Life is okay, yet there is a dullness about the life.  Being sweet, loving, and kind with and to yourself is critical to overcoming habits and additions.
