The spiritual focus for this week and for the 21 stages of meditation is Absorption. Interesting, absorption doesn’t really have to do with your thought process or meditation. It’s all about your ability to co-create with the Universe. It’s about manifestation and transformation and the ability to change yourself and your life. This topic is wonderful after having come off of two weeks of “focus” where we made a plan for something in our life that we wanted to transform.
Of course, my head tends to stay in the business of EOM and I was truly “focused” on my career path. Interestingly, however, while my personal focus went to my career path, God’s focus went to a more personal level and that is my evolving emotional maturation through the experience of diving into oneness with God. Supporting God’s focus, many synchronistic events took place in my business and in my life that forced me to transcend from the emotions of an experience and quickly drop into my heart center for that sense of “knowingness” that the path was being cleared and perfected.
You know how sometimes something bad happens like a betrayal, a disappointment, or a sudden and shocking event and you feel for a moment really really really horrible and then the next second, your heart does a little sing and dance and shouts to you “FREEDOM” or “MOKSHA” or “LIBERATION?” That’s what I’m talking about when I say things like “diving into oneness with God.” It’s a sense of knowing that all is simply right in the world regardless of what is before you.
Absorption or “diving into oneness with God” is realizing that the shadow side…the first impulse of anger, hurt, judgment, or criticism (those nasty emotions) is really just a wonderful part of processing. Observing them compassionately for your human-self allows you to respond with love and not anger. The ego and the higher Self become one. That’s absorption.
Crud, I’ll be honest. I just reread the esoteric BS written above that I so profoundly meant every word of in the moment and realize that absorption must be experienced and felt and not written about. Come to class tomorrow at 8 pm and have the experience.
