So it’s Day 4 of my 120-day Cleanse.  (If you are just joining this party, basically you are moving right to Week 3 and Week 4 of the Elemental Cleanse and staying there for 120 days with various spiritual modifications thrown in. I am not asking anyone to join in this and will never sell it, promote it, or support it because it is super intense and not for most people.  You can follow my journey and choose what is correct for you.)

The evening of Day 4 found me at the graduation party for our Teachers in Training.  As part of our celebration we each brought a healthy dish to share mostly from one of my favorite books, “Eat, Taste, Heal.”  So the food was exceptional and healthy.

That having been said, there was A LOT of it and it was all homemade and gorgeous.  The rule of the Cleanse is to not each more than 2 cups of food in any sitting.  I loaded up my plate, looked down, and there was definitely more than two cups of food on my plate.  My inner talker turned on.

“But it’s a party.”  It whined.

“Yea, but you know life is a party.”  I reasoned.

“But it’s all healthy.”  It moaned.

“Yea, but the Ayurvedic rule is overconsumption of even healthy food turns into ama-ick or toxicity.  You know….undigested food stuff floating around your body and mind. You don’t want that.”  I spoke to it like a 4 year old.

“I know.  Let me visualize this disgusting sludge in my veins and re-consider.  okay.  I’ll eat 3/4 of it and really enjoy it.”  It agreed.

“Good girl.”  I spoke as if talking to my dog.

Still, 3/4 of my plate was still too much so when I got home I flushed with Hot Water with Lemon.  I took an extra triphala and extra neem.  I didn’t sleep great because I was full.  Today I skipped breakfast and will fast until lunch to let my belly catch up.

So, what do you do?  You dive into your will center and only eat 2 cups of food. Visualizing the outcome is a powerful tool to give your brain the pause it needs before you dive in unconsciously.   OM, Pamela
