I want to talk a bit about Love as it relates to Pitta Dosha. Pittas are large and in charge. They like to lead. They like to make decisions. Most importantly, they truly believe they do not need taken care of and want to take care of you….oh yeah…did I mention they love to work?  (find out your dosha)

So, the key to enjoying love with Pitta is LET THEM SHINE!candles in a heart shape
Let them do their thing and come home to adore you!

Here are things Pitta thrives on. If you are a Pitta, share this with your partner.  If you are in relationship with Pitta, do these things to nourish your partner:

Space. Pitta needs a little space. They love you. They want to be with you. They need to unwind first. When your love comes home from activity or a long day at the office, meet them with a smile and a nice glass of iced mint water. Hand them the paper or whatever it is that relaxes them and tell them that YOU need 20 more minutes, would they like to go relax for a bit. Pitta does not really want to be alone. They like to have space, but company at the same time.

Activity. Pitta can sit still, but thrives on intense daily activity on some level. If you want to sit around and watch TV, you will see Pitta get grumpy. Get out in nature with them. Go for a brisk walk and then come home to snuggle in front of the TV. If a couple is experiencing a Pitta imbalance, it may come out in the activities that they do together. A little competition is fun, but if you find you are constantly battling and negotiating on the tennis court and at home, you may have a Pitta imbalance. Give your relationship a few weeks to cool down. One of you will simply have to give up and in. Let the other be right. Avoid conflict. Pick the appropriate times to have civil discussions and use boundaries around language.

Freedom. Pitta needs to work. Let them work. You may think they are working too much and sometimes that is true. Mostly, they find great reward in working though. Honor that. They love providing a home for their family. They love paying for college and the pride that goes with that. They love that their family looks nice and is taken care of. Work is an expression of love.

They love to give back to the community and volunteer. Find activities that the entire family can do together in this regards.

Affection. Pittas loves hugs, praise and thank you. They love to hear the word “thank you” and they LOVE it when you do something nice for them to show your appreciation.

Pittas are passionate in the bedroom and like to have their needs met. Know that you are in for some fire in the bedroom! They tend to think they are very good in that department, but may frustrate their partner with their impatience and demanding nature. Help your Pitta to get heart centered in the bedroom before activities begin. Once the flood of love comes flowing, the real passion begins.

Roles and Responsibilities. Let the Pitta lead. When it comes to the day to day decision making and choices, just let them go. Chances are, they are making the right decisions. Responsible with money and disciplined with routine, they make wonderful head of households. When conflict does arise, find a non-ego, non-judgmental way to point out differences. When you find your Pitta getting too stressed to manage all the duties, simply begin doing little tasks as “favors.” You will notice that in time, they are happy to turn over some of the responsibility.

Are there two Pitta’s? Split the roles and responsibilities and never look over each others shoulders. Both are doing a great job and don’t need to monitored.

Laughter. All doshas need more fun in relationship. Don’t let your relationship turn into work. The person you love is the most important person in the world next to you! Have fun together.

I hope this is helpful
